Fire Assay Cupellation Furnace and fusion furnace are used in the assay process of precious metals alloys. Cupellation is a procedure with the purpose to remove all metal from the alloy to test. HT cupel furnace are provided with a built-in electromagnetic induction generator for the heating of the muffle. This leads to fast work cycles and high energy efficiency. An electronic control regulates the output power, and gives an advanced diagnostic system.

Our Cupellation Furnace with Muffle is no exception, offering excellent performance, reliability, and durability for all your assay needs. Cupellation, separation of gold or silver from impurities by melting the impure metal in a cupel (a flat, porous dish made of a refractory, or high-temperature-resistant, material) and then directing a blast of hot air on it in a special furnace. The impurities, including lead, copper, tin, and other unwanted metals, are oxidized and partly vaporized and partly absorbed into the pores of the cupel.

The Fire assay fusion furnace is a kind of equipment used to melt crushed ore samples (containing precious metal) with mixed fluxes (powdered lead oxide) in a refractory clay crucible. HT manufactures various types of laboratory fusion furnaces for fire assay. The industrial-sized, large-capacity furnace chamber can be loaded with multiple crucibles, which significantly improves the efficiency of laboratory smelting and testing of ore samples and reduces the frequency of manual operations.
