SPECIFICATIONS:

Power

AC 208-240V Single Phase, 50/60 Hz

2.5 KW

15A air creaker is required

10 ft power cable is included, but no power plug

Furnace

Compact  and splittable tube furnace with Alumina fiber inner insulator and double-layer steel outer layer

Max. working temperature (continuous for 3 months)   1350°C

Temperature accuracy: +/- 0.1 °C  (Euro-Therm controller available at extra cost)

The furnace is located in a vacuum chamber for atmosphere control.

 Punch Die Fixture & Sample

The fixture ( die) is made of recrystallized SiC

The fixture consists of two parts and tightens by M18x2

The sample to be tested: 8 mm dia. x 0.5 mm thickness, which is tightened in the middle of the die.

Pushing Rod

Pushing rod is made of Moly via precision machining

An alignment connector is installed with the pushing rod to ensure 2.5 mm dia. head in the center of the SiC die.

Water Chiller

HT recommends Digital Temperature Controlled Recirculating Water Chiller Or any  equivalent water chiller of your own choice

Heating Furnace &     Vacuum Chamber

Special MoSi2 heating elements are built in a split-able furnace with thermal insulation.

Mac. working Temperature

1300°C continuously

1350°C for < 1 hr

The heating furnace is fixed in the vacuum-sealed chamber with a hinged type door

Working gas:  All types of inert gas and oxygen gas.

Max. Vacuum level: 10-2 torr by a mechanical pump and 10-5 torr by turbopump.

Temperature Control

Built-in PID Auto-Tune function with overheating & broken thermocouple broken protection.

Over-temperature protection and alarm allow for operation without attendant(s).

+/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.

Communications Port to connect a laptop with operation software.

Fixture for Yield Strength

The pressure is applied to the pushing rod via heavy-duty DC motor.

Constant loading speed is driven by a step motor with 2,000N Max. force

Loading speed:  0.02 to 60 mm/ minute adjustable

Load sensor accuracy+/- 0.2 N

The displacement sensor is built-in with +/- 1-micron accuracy.

Control Panel

A laptop computer will be used as a control panel with software to program working temperature and pushing rod speed

One computer will control 4 sets of the machine.

Software is included, but the Laptop computer is optional at the extra cost.

The PC will display and record the force vs displacement for each sample at a set temperature.

Warranty

One-year limited warranty

(Consumable parts such as heating elements, SiC die, and pushing rod are not covered by the warranty )
