HTBLF-1200 Vacuum gas furnace is a vacuum-sealed bottom loading furnace with a motor-driven bottom loading sample stage and an electric door for thermal insulation of the heated chamber. The furnace comes with a quartz chamber of 218 ID x 216 H mm and a water-cooled flange, which enables heat treatment under a vacuum or controlled atmosphere. A gas blow system is installed at the bottom to cool the heated sample faster with inert gas.

Features

Double-layer steel casing with air cooling keeps furnace surface < 60°C

Water-cooled vacuum flange for better vacuum seal and longer service life

8.5" ID Quartz chamber works under both vacuum and gas flow.

Motor-driven bottom loading for large sample loading at ease.

The electric sliding door is built to block thermal radiation when heated sample loading down

Inert gas blow system is installed to quench heated samples faster

Two precision temperature controllers are included: one for furnace temperature and another for a monitoring temperature change of the sample stage

Power

208-240 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz.

3600 W (20 A power receptacle is required)

A 10-foot power cable is included but without a plug

Working Temperature

Fe-Cr-Al doped Mo heating elements.

≤1200°C with inert gas

≤1000°C continuous under vacuum

Heating rate: 20°C/min max

Temperature Uniformity

+/-2°C @ 900°C

Temperature Control

Two 30-segment programmable temperature controllers are included.

One for controlling furnace heating and one for monitoring sample stage heating and cooling

Built-in automatic PID control with auto-tune, overheating, and T/C broken protection.

±1 temperature accuracy.

Two K-type thermocouples are included

RS485 communication port

Optional MTS-02 for remote temperature control and logging at PC

Heating Chamber and
Vacuum-Sealed Flange

Quartz chamber size: 230 OD x 218ID x 340 H, mm

Effective heating area: 218 ID x 216 H mm, 8.6 Liter

The quartz heating chamber is replaceable.

Water cooling SS304 Vacuum flange with Or-ring fibrous alumina plate is installed on the electric lifting platform to seal the quartz chamber.

One 16L/min recirculating water chiller is included for cooling the flange

Vacuum and  Gas Flow

One KF25 port is built-in for vacuum pump connection.

One dual-stage rotary vane pump with KF25 below and one angle valve are included.

One Pirani vacuum gauge (up to 10-4 torr) and a mechanical vacuum gauge is included.

Pfeiffer 33 L/s turbo pump is available for high vacuum operation up to 10-5 torr

One 5L flowmeter with1/4" gas inlet and outlet is included for atmosphere control

Cooling Chamber

The gas cooling system is built-in for faster cooling of a heated sample

4 gas blow tubes ate installed in for corner of the cooling chamber.  The gas valve shall be opened before loading the heated sample down

The sliding door must be closed immediately once the sample stage is down to insulate the radiation from the heating chamber. (Pic. 2)

The cooling rate and temperature can be monitored by the thermal couple in sample stage

Warrant

One-year limited warranty with lifetime support (consumable parts such as processing tubes, and O-rings are not covered by the warranty, please order replacements at related products below.)

ATTENTION: Any damages caused by the use of corrosive and acidic gases are not under the coverage of One Year Limited Warranty

Application Notes

Quartz tube furnace is designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa

Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation.

Vacuum pressures in the furnace shall be used below 1000°C under vacuum processing

The furnace can be used for brazing of two flat samples via top dead weight under vacuum at <1000°C
