Compact Atmosphere Controlled Quenching Furnace

HTTF-1100-S-VTQ Multi position tube furnace is a compact atmosphere quenching tube furnace with vacuum sealed flange and quenching tank. The sample can be placed inside the tube and heated to the desired temperature under vacuum or controlled atmosphere, then tilt the furnace and slide the sample to the quenching tank. This Quenching furnace is an excellent tool to study material phase transition.

HTTF-1100-S-VTQ Multi position tube furnace is a compact atmosphere quenching tube furnace with 2" OD quartz tube up to 1100°C and vacuum sealed flange and quenching tank. The sample can be placed inside the tube and heated to the desired temperature under vacuum or controlled atmosphere, then tilt the furnace and slide the sample to the quenching tank. This Quenching furnace is an excellent tool to study material phase transition.

Standard 1/4‘’ Barbed fittings with needle valves and the mechanical vacuum gauge are installed on the left of the tube with quick clamp

Gas outlet, KF 25 vacuum port valve and quenching tank are installed on the right of the tube.

The quenching tank size:  100 mm ID x 80mmL, ~ 500ml capacity, which may contain water or mineral oil for quenching

Furnace Tilting

The furnace is tiltable up to 60 degrees, which allow the sample slide into the quenching tank.

Gas Purification and Circulation (Optional)

EQ-RMP-1 is an automatic recirculating moisture and oxygen purification system, which can provide an environment with moisture and oxygen concentration lower than 1 ppm for MTI's furnaces and gloveboxes. 

Two-columns of Molecular sieves are Built-in in the system. One is for removing oxygen and another is for removing moisture up to < 1 PPM

The automatic pressure control system is built in to keep the pressure at a constant level

6" color PLC touch panel is included which can set and display the humidity and pressure level

Oxygen sensor and moisture sensors are included.

Warning

Tube furnaces with quartz tube is designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars

Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. 

 Vacuum limit for all quartz tube furnaces: * Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1000°C 

The flow rate for gasses should be limited to<200 SCCM (or 200ml/min) for reducing thermal shocks to the tube
