  • HT-1700-PVT is designed for growing SnO2 single crystal by PVT methods ( Physical Vapor Transport) under a controlled atmosphere up to 1700℃ at an affordable cost.  It also can be used to grow the crystal by the Bridgman method via pulling a crucible.

     

    Specifications

    Vertical Tube Furnace

    Heating zone length: 200mm

    Constant temperature zone: 70mm within +/-1°C

    50 mm dia alumina tube with vacuum-sealed rotation and pulling mechanism.

    MoSi2 heating elements with Max. 1700°C working temperature

    Eurotherm temperature controller with +/- 0.1°Caccuracy.

    Alumina Tube and Flanges

    High purity alumina Tube size:  50mm OD x 40 mm ID x 1000 mm L

    Top flange: water-cooled flange with a needle valve and a KF25 port for rotation and pulling mechanism.

    Bottom flange: flange with a needle valve and KF25 port for connection to a vacuum pump.

    Two 1/4" tube fitting for gas circulation or flow. 

    Working gases: Inert gas, CO2, and oxygen gas up to 0.2 MPa.

    Pulling Mechanism 

    Travel is driven by precision servo motor

    Pulling Speed: 0.1 - 10 mm/hr.

    Pulling Rod Rotation Speed: 0.1 - 23 RPM

    Travel distance: 0 - 300 mm

    Faster travel: 35 mm/min

    CZ Method

    Source raw materials will be put in the bottom flange with an included alumina rod.

    The seed crystal ( substrate ) will be fixed in the pulling rod on the top flange.

    The seed crystal  will keep a constant distance from the crucible, and slowly move up with crystal growth during heating

    Inert gas or CO2 gas will be filled in the processing tune during crystal growth up to 2 bar pressure.

    Bridgeman Method

    The source material will be put in a crucible with V type bottom with a crystal seed.

    The crucible will be hung upon the pulling rod on the top flange 

    The crucible will rotate and move up during heating to grow a single crystal

    Temperature Control and Profile

    Two Eurotherm temperature controllers with two K-type thermocouples are builtin with +/- 0.1º°Caccuracy.

    28 segments programmable with PID adjustable for two heating zone independently.

    RS485 port and software (iTools) is ready for PC remote control

    Note: It is the customer's responsibility to create a suitable thermal gradient for crystal growth.

    10E-2 torr via dual-stage mechanical vacuum pump

    10E-5 torr via Turbopump

    The vacuum pump is optional.

    For oxygen-sensitive material, suggest using a recirculating gas purification system ( H2O, O2 < 1 ppm) to replace the turbopump

    A water chiller is required to prevent top flange overheating but it is not included in the standard package.
